For a lot of people New Year is the time to reset, but for me it has always felt more natural to have a reset in September. I think it's to do with the start of a new school year, a long time ago I stood on the front porch for new school pictures. Now I organise my daughters for the return to school, the shiny shoes have been bought, the pencils are sharp and there's all the hopeful possibility of a new notebook, yet to be messed up.
This reset extends to my home, I want our house to be warm and inviting and to smell amazing too of course. I don't tend to go for the sweeter pumpkin or gingerbread scents, for me it's about something more subtle and moody in a way.
You could try Unplugged from Seven Seventeen with notes of black oud, designed to appeal to both males and females and more than just a bit sexy!
Or you could try Last Light from The Nomad Society with amber wood and moss. Perfect after a busy day. The scents I have chosen for you for autumn are ideal after the lightness of summer and before we get into the deep, dark scents of winter.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my choices,
