Scent of the month - May. Driftwood and Sea Salt
Hope you are all safe and well, we are all doing ok, the kids have settled into the home schooling routine. I am doing my best as the teacher in between making 40 snacks a day!
This post is the first in a new series, when I focus on one scent of the month and tell you what I love about it. For May I have chosen a scent that is special to me, it is Driftwood and Sea Salt from Somas. These luxury scented candles are handmade in County Cork, and this one is a really beautiful.
This scent is designed to remind you of the rugged Irish Atlantic coastline, battered by the wind and sea. We visited the west coast a lot when I was growing up, and there is nowhere else quite like it.
This candle scent reminds me of fresh air, wide open spaces and the sea, something we are all perhaps missing at the moment? With driftwood, delicate notes of algae and a hint of water lily. Then deeper notes are of amber, patchouli and musk. This Driftwood and Sea Salt candle is fresh, subtle and cleansing, just the thing to help you drift away after a busy day in lockdown.
You can buy the candle in a large size for £26.95 and it should last around 50 -60 hours. You can also buy a travel sized version which is £12.95 and would make a nice treat for someone, or yourself of course! Click here for more info.
